three truths and a lie

our (former) pediatrician:

*sent me to two specialists, Phoenix Children’s hospital, made me wait a total of 3 hours each visit, and diagnosed him with pyloric synosis.

*weighed Smithboy with all his clothes on and a VERY full diaper, then told me he was overweight.

*said his hairy ears were inherited from his faher.

*managed to conclude each visit with a diagnosis without ever touching him.

In the first month of being a mother, I have:

*perfected how to go to the bathroom while holding a baby.

*only slept through the night once.

*attended a yoga class and had to leave so no one would see me pass out.

*cooked dinner 5 times. and discovered upon completion I couldn’t eat them.

oh how I feel you... on all accounts in the latter list.

and what is up with that pediatrician? (he sounds like a DOUCHE!)who was that and who do you see now? I have a great recommendation if you need one. Very hands on.. and even makes me laugh.. so I don't mind driving to Glendale whenever my kids need him.

Smith will not have hairy ears forever. my twins were born with fuzz everywhere.. and it's gone.

YOu are doing great... I love Remi!

I agree with Britt- the hairiness will not last forever. Luke was born with a fuzzy back and it went away. You are doing great. You are making the hardest adjustment right now with being a new mom. Give yourself a pat on the back.

And thank goodness, its a FORMER pediatrician. I have a great one that I absolutely love in Peoria. She has been wonderful with Luke.

You've probably already found a new pediatrician by now but if not...I love the one we chose and it's right by your place!

Oh man. You are hilarious. You always make me laugh. You will be shocked at the stuff you can do while holding a baby. I quickly learned how to do things while nursing at the same time. What can I say, we are talented!

for all of you inquiring minds, here are the lies....

Smith does indeed have hairy (almost braidable) ears. His father does not and never has as far as I know.

I haven't slept even one night all the way through since he's been born. and yet I'm still alive.
