On my MIND.

Here I am, sitting at my desk, working (obviously)....as we wind down from the Halloween festivities (did YOU know that the largest pumpkin was over 1600 lbs....yeah, neither did I, and I may or may not have CHEATED and looked it up before we were asked the questions...serves me right.)

Anyway, while I'm sitting here, I go to edit my last blog, realizing I could probably LIVEN it up a bit, and as I search the drop-down menu for fonts, there are approximately EIGHT. One, of which is Webdings.....so I wonder.....HAS ANYONE EVER FIGURED OUT THIS LANGUAGE?! WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN?!

There, my friends, is your Halloween trivia.

Happy Halloween!---does Anyone KNOW what that means? case-in-point.

Men in My Life

Two of the most important men in my life had birthdays!
Look how adorable they are.

Kylan has taught me to find happiness in everything around you, serve others, be open-minded, to listen, to love, to never take for granted a day, an opportunity,

or a chance to change a life.

He taught me to be spontaneous, to never give up an chance to learn.

To love the Lord and His gospel, to become more like Him,

to try something new, to learn something new, and to be something better.

To discover who you are and your own capabilities every day.

He taught me to be excited about life, what happens to you, and most of all what happens to others.

My dad taught me to watch the sun rise and be grateful for another beautiful day,

to be independant, to try to learn as much as you can about everything you can, to not take for granted an education,

to learn something from everyone you meet,

that your family is the most imporant thing and where you'll find your best friends,

to ski, snowboard, wakeboard, surf, scuba dive, bike, drive a boat, a car, a jet-ski, and a motorcycle,

eat bacon and cheddar cheez wiz with ritz crackers,

and to appreciate and respect nature and all that our Father in Heaven has given us.

He taught me how to make the scriptures come alive by relating them to today,

how to teach, how to listen, and how to learn.

One year ago today....

Notice I wear the same five articles of clothing ALMOST every day....These two get a moment of silence for being an inspiration to me.
Yes, that's right. A ten 15 foot statue of THE Dale Earnhardt.
Found ONLY in Kannapolis, NC

Welcome to the south! LOVE IT.

Its really strange to be remembering things and doing things that I did right when I got home. One of the first things we did was go to our ward Halloween party/Chili cook-off, so when I went again with my mom on Saturday, I remembered that it was there Bishop (and his Cuthbertson GANG) told me I needed to go out with Cole.
Thank you.

I do.

Dad wasn't sure if Joseph needed a mirror to tie his tie,
and is always willing to help!
Diney and Cole had bonding time
shortly after the explosion

This CENTURY's Wedding Day Must-Have!

With EVERY wedding there are ALWAYS the unexpected. Unexpected on wedding days are usually a bad thing: unexpected that little brother gets a headache, takes medicine on an empty stomach and throws up your whole sealing; unexpected that you didn't leave out an EXTRA dress for you to wear TO the ceremony; unexpected makeup and hair delays; unexpected late DJ; unexpected baby poo explosions on Kevin and Kylan's suits; unexpected that some even sneaked into Kylan's hair.....you know, the standard.
However, THIS was one unexpected DREAM. COME. TRUE. The stars aligned and ALL 8 of us (and our spouses) happened to have stopped by the candy bar and were hyped up on sugar.......luckily there was a sign-in photo booth that caught it on camera.
Bry, welcome to the family.

HOT DIGGITY DOGGER!

I'm not a big fan of flying because (1)I get motion sickness, and (2) I don't like the smell of airplanes, so to keep myself distracted, I usually read a book. I forgot my book. On the way to Utah I talked to a sweet man and his son, so there was no need for distraction, however, on the way home, I was forced to pick up southwest airlines' Skymall Magazine and take a gander. It has now become one of my new favorite pastimes. It is amazing how incredibly entertaining it is to look at all of the craziest inventions (increasing in pet supplies). This week's winner: The HOT DIGGITY DOGGER, yours for only $50.00.... can toast your hot dog unlike any barbequer or microwave ever could. Text your order to 56673. I love it.

So I'm a little behind, I've been busy....

Last weekend (meaning two weekends ago), I went to Utah to attend a wonderful mission companion's sweet wedding celebration....it was so fun to see everyone. Sister Missionary pics to come, I'm sure she'll send me one (wink, wink). I got to spend the weekend with my bf Chelsea, who took incredibly great care of me, as always, and watch conference at the conference center, learn a new song on the guitar, have much needed girl talk, finish geography puzzles, look at magazines, and be surprised by my sweet husband. This is the order in which it went down:
Rome, Italia! Calgary, Alberta! Greater Kansas City, MO! Woo-hoo!

I'm not a big puzzle person, but I am a big geography nerd, so I was glued to this for a good two hours until it was done.

Best. weekend. ever. Until last weekend (as in two days ago)
