We may or may not have bought a puppy last night.

.....and she managed to pee on the ONLY piece of fabric we have in our entire house three times this morning.

Cole is DEFINITELY more of a dog lover than myself. I love love LOVE animals, every kind of animal, but I don't want them to touch me, sit on my couch, or leave wads of hair on my shirt. But I just ADORE them. I LOVE looking at them! It may sound deranged, but my husband was kind enough to take that into consideration and watch her ALL night long when she wined, and allowed me to slumber peacefully. I woke up this morning and let him have a fifteen minute break, and in that time she relieved herself (and oh BOY did she!) twice on the hardwood floor, and thrice on our new rug (raffia....try to get pee out of THAT). My house has been saturated with animal feces, and you don't have to see it to believe it.....it is also saturated with the smell. However, she IS the cutest basset/boxer mix you've EVER layed your eyes on!
We're surprising Kaden with her as an early Christmas present TODAY! Any ideas on the presentation????

*it is important to know that giving the puppy to Kade was ALWAYS the intention of purchasing the puppy. Rest assured we are not giving her away as a result of the run-in with the raffia.*

She is SO adorable. After having a puppy for 7 months, I am happy to say we will never do that again as long as we have toddlers in the house. Bad idea.

So she really is for Kade huh? I thought she was yours for second there.

Well, at least the dog will groom you and Cole for those days when your babies get here. Then your entire house and all your furniture will be "tainted" with kid feces/vomit/juice/crayon/drool/spit-up (not to mistaken with vomit.. but just as gross).. and yes.. once again your house will smell OH SO LOVELY! Can't wait to read your blog when those days come.. by then I might have all my kids in school (??).

how silly of me to only mention your house and your furniture. I forgot your entire wardrobe, every vehicle you own, your hair, etc. seriously... just got back a few years on my blog..

Have I scared you out of having kids yet? lol. kidding!!

Remi,
I can't believe you don't just want to keep the little pup! I would. Puppies are hard...the beginning is always the worst. They are so worth it though.
Can't wait for you to change your mind!!!
