My dear friend Mikhaila and I had a brainstorming session the other night for the nursery. Here's what it looked like. If you hate it, its okay. But I'm tickled with it.

Project nursery begins after Christmas. Any volunteers?
Also, as promised, Mr. Stoneman's gift is taking shape in all its glory at this very moment.

I know you don't know me, but I went to HS with Cole- I actually love this idea! My whole house is done in Earth colors with splashes of orange. My babies had neutral nurseries and since my kids turned out perfect (cough, cough), I think that is the reason. Good luck!
love the textures, can't wait to see what you come up with!
I looked closer at that wall and you could actually paint it that way if you want. Faux paneling. without the wood. I'm in if you want help.
Love it.
it's off the hizzle.
Hi Remi, I found your blog through a friend, yours and Nie Nie are two I check on a regular basis, thanks for the posts and great thoughts. Ps love your nursery ideas, the textures and colors are fabulous!
Remi,
It's Jenny (Lisa's cousin). I check your blog every once in a while through Lisa's blog. Even though you asked for no comments about what to expect, I can't help saying a few things. I experienced the same thing you did. I can't think of how many times people told me "get sleep now because you won't ever get it again"
That has been far from true for me. I am MUCH more well rested than when I was pregnant. I'm also happier, have more energy, overall have better mental/emotional health, get more things done, and feel a greater capacity to understand and love others after having a baby. All in all, having a baby has changed my life and marriage so much for the better. It really is wonderful, and if people are thinking that I'm too naive, I don't care, because I'm loving it!
I'm so excited for you and from what I know of you, you will be a fun, creative, natural, involved and loving mom. I'm so excited for you! Congratulations!
PS - your nursery ideas are unique and super cute.
i wish i could be there to help!
i'm sure it will turn out gorgeous. congrats on your graduation. keep your eyes on craigslist and any opportunities for secondhand items. i got my crib and changing table for free. my curtains were 2 bedspread's from urban outfitters marked from $60 down to $10 each (i split them and sewed up 4 panels)- hung a beautiful handmade quilt, made a mobile, put a 2nd hand but newly upholstered chair in the corner- and there u have it! i have been working on a tree mural for a while -so- kind of a work in progress but such fun work, and so rewarding-good luck!ooohh- and i wish my chair rocked-make sure you have a rocking chair-a comfortable one!
