The description of the Geography essay my junior year was to illustrate a place that is most sacred to you, where you go and seek refuge, where you go to escape and think……
When I finished the assignment, I handed it over to my brother with the title My Sacred Spot and asked him to proofread it. He looked at it, looked back at me, and said “You wrote an essay about your SACRED SPOT? And you want ME to read it????”
It was about the top of Thunderbird Mountain. It was not about a body part.
My sacred spot has changed. It is now the shower. I never realized how wonderful a shower could be, and how much I took the time it takes to take a shower for granted. Never again. If I get one in a day, its not without some serious planning….our little angel hates a clean momma, I’m sure of it.
Speaking of…..I LOVE BEING A MOMMA! Its the b.e.s.t., even with momentary lapses of insanity due to lack of sleep, body aches, and crying because I don’t know why he won’t stop screaming, I love every minute of it, and stare at him often and think of how precious this time is, and how it won’t last.
And as promised, pictures of our unfinished nursery (notice the frames….still in plastic, no photos yet), and our little man, cuddling with his dad.

After much thought, we have decided to go private. Its too bad one creepo has to ruin it for the rest of us, huh?
