3 weeks old today peeps!
and after three weeks, I've already acclimated and don’t want to sound snooty when I say I'm darn near perfect at being a mom. My day is completely scheduled and organized and I’m not at all sleep deprived. He sleeps straight through the night, and if he DOES wake up, he never, ever, poops as soon as I change his diaper, no matter when I change him, or what I change him on top of.
He never cries, and lets me take naps whenever I need to during the day. He doesn’t care if I put him down for 3 seconds to go to the bathroom, and certainly never screams his head off when I try to sit down while holding him.
I make dinner every night, and look like a movie star every.single.day. I get my hair did and put makeup on, because he always allows me a little extra “mommy time”.
I’ve never forgotten to bring an extra change of clothes, a clean blanket, and extra diapers and wipes in his diaper bag, and I’m really great at scheduling my day and feeding times if we have some event to attend. I’ve never had to call mother-in-laws to come rescue me, and never had to ask our parents to bend over backward to clean up my scheduling messes.
Since I do everything so perfectly, I never get frustrated, and so I never take any of that frustration out on my husband, no matter how mean he is. And in return, he never gets frustrated with me (probably because I make amazing dinners each night and the house is always spotless when he comes home).
This baby thing is a walk in the park.

Also….did you all read the fine print when you submitted your email address to me? No? tsk, tsk. This is what it said.
I, ________, by submitting my email address and continuing to check in on Remi and her family, accept that I am walking into the unknown, and understand that some of her posts might make me uncomfortable, and I hereby promise not to be offended.
That being said, and signed by you, here are some of the pictures of my labor and birth. It was a natural birth, hence the facial expressions. Hope they don’t weird you out, because I think they are beautiful.
Thanks mom.

lol, i'm glad he's such a perfect baby. love the fine print!! and such sweet pictures!
You rock for going all natural!! I gave in and got an epidural after being up for 26 hours with no sleep! I love your pictures... so sweet! Congrats! :)
pretty sure I would do it all again if I could make it look that beautiful... and have that cute midwife (or insert better word for her if there is one) standing by me. she just screams COMFORT.
honestly, these pictorials are
p r i c e l e s s
You know, I was expecting birthing pictures of you screaming, grimacing and possibly featuring fluids that would make the coworkers go running in terror of natural childbirth. I was not expecting beautiful shots of you looking so gorgeous and serene! The only one where you look even slightly uncomfortable is in the one on your side, and I'm pretty sure I make worse faces than that while watching LOST or finding out my pudding pie is all gone.
You make it look easy, Rem!
Remi, those pictures are SO beautiful! What an amazing woman you are! Thank you for sharing such special pictures with us:)
L-O-V-E his name!
First of all...LOVE the name. What's the story behind it? I love hearing where people come up with names.
I am trying to remember grandma's maiden name...was it Smith??
Also, you are hilarious. Loved reading about how "easy" motherhood has been for you.
You always make me laugh. Thanks!!!
Beautiful post. Beautiful pictures. Glad you posted them. Oh, and I thought I was the only one who had such perfect babies and such a perfect, easy, restful life afterwards! JUST kidding.....!
Awesome pics...Leave it to you to look beautiful while in major pain!! He's a doll! Congrats again. Enjoy every minute with that sweetness...they grow way too quick!
How about that birthing outfit! I didn't know Juicy Couture made natural-birth suits. Beautiful. BTW...just laughed out loud when I read the perfect mother post.
you. are. amazing.
You are a Saint!
Serious, the natural deliveries I've seen included a lot of screaming, crying and didn't at all look like your beautiful pictures!
I love your perfect mom post, I'm pretty sure I am preparing for my first few weeks of motherhood to be the exact opposite of what you wrote- at least if I plan on it, I won't be suprised! Thanks for not sugar coating, what it's really like!
Remi,
Don't worry you are in no way "spoiling" motherhood for me- I had already heard nursing horror stories, not having time to shower, and a huge lack of sleep- but than everyone always adds- it's so worth it! and I know it is!
Ps. I love all of your stories, and you will definatly look back and laugh at all the funny happenings!
Love all the pics. You look so pretty and calm! Very impressive! :->
Wow. You are my inspiration. That is amazing! Where did you find your midwife? I've been struggling to find one that isn't on the east side... Love the name too!
Love it. You are so fun Remi.
Those pics are beautiful! :)
