You can be optomistic about anything

VS

Caden (ahem.....sorry....KADEN) taught me a very important lesson last night.

I think its safe to say that Kade isn't the biggest fan of lawn-mowing, and after driving home from Lake Powell last night, he was a little less than thrilled about going straight to the grass. I finished my run with Cole at about the same time he finished the yard, and he came in and gave me some great wisdom.

"Hey Rem, did you know that you can make ANYTHING optomistic?"

"what do you mean?"

"well, for example, as I was mowing the lawns, I thought WOW. This is great. This is my FIRST time mowing the lawns since the house got painted......Hey, at least its night-time and it looks like a did a great job because its pretty dark......Its great mowing the lawn at night, its not so stinking HOT!"

I thought it astounding that a brother of mine, at 15, can know so much about life. He's so great! So now, when I'm at ASU downtown in class and hating every second of it, I think Hey, today's great! He hasn't even sworn yet! And when he does, I think Wow, I'm so lucky! He hasn't made a reference to drugs even once!

Works like a charm, Kaden. Thank you.

Since when does he like to be Kaden with a K? I missed the memo on that one! It may take me a bit to get used to that one. He is such a great kid and was really a joy to be with at Lake Powell. I can't get enough of watching him play with Lili, he's so sweet to her and as you know she just adores him! What a great kid! And, good luck at ASU!

he spells it with a K now?

I love that he is so optomistic.. seriously.. most teenagers are the most pessimistic (sp?) people I know.. my brother Chad (khad.. kidding) included.
